在使用Thunderbird通过IMAP收取Gmail邮件时，发现一个很奇怪的现象：因为我gmail里建立的文件夹比较多，它只会检查文前边几个特定的文件夹，而忽略后面的。这样我只有登陆到web邮箱里才能看到是否有新邮件在这些文件夹下，不是很方便。由于后面的文件夹不是很常用，就维持这个状态好久。前一段时间心血来潮，上mozilla官网查看帮助，还真找到了解决办法。原来thunderbird检查所有IMAP文件夹的这个选项是默认关闭的。修改的方法很简单，Tools -> Options -> Advanced，打开Config Editor，搜索mail.check_all_imap_folders_for_new这个选项，将其值改为true。
